Step into the most dangerous chapter of the wizarding world in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 for the Nintendo Wii. Based on the blockbuster film, this action-heavy installment takes the series in a bold new direction—transforming the magical adventure into a third-person shooter-style experience.
As Harry Potter, you're on the run from Voldemort’s forces and must hunt down the Horcruxes, the key to the Dark Lord’s immortality. But instead of wielding guns, Harry uses his magic wand as a combat tool, with spells that behave like traditional shooter weapons—Expulso acts like an automatic rifle, Stupefy like a handgun, and other spells provide defensive tactics such as cover shields and enemy confusion.
The game includes a cover-based combat system, encouraging strategic use of spells and positioning. You’ll be joined by AI-controlled allies Hermione and Ron, who provide support during battles. As you progress, you’ll level up and unlock new or enhanced spells.
In contrast to the fast-paced firefights, the game also features stealth-based missions in first-person, where Harry must sneak past enemies under his invisibility cloak, which has limited power and needs to recharge while stationary.
Outside of the main missions, you can take on side quests in any order—these are not tied directly to the movie’s story but offer additional challenges and XP. There's also a Challenge Mode, focused on arcade-style missions like survival or timed enemy takedowns, perfect for players who want quick-action bursts.
